Swindon Town got promotion! I'm very pleased that we've managed to bounce striaght back up after dropping down last year. Our relegation last year was a close thing, as was our promotion this time around, but it seems we've been playing some good football this year. Obviously I can't confirm this, having not been to any games because I'm in Africa, (and because I average one game a season anyway...) but I don't care, because we went up!
It's also amusing to think that Denis Wise, who abandoned us for a 'big club' in the shape of Leeds, will be joining us in League One. I don't suppose he's looking forward to visiting the County Ground. Don't worry Denis, you'll have probably been sacked way before then (not that I'm bitter...)
To top it all off, Chelsea sealed their fate as runners-up by failing to beat Arsenal, which (I guess) means Man Utd will have the Prem trophy presented to them at Stanford Bridge. That Chelsea, they're just a cup team...
Anyway, I hope to catch a Swindon game or two next season, as we'll soon be back in the country - we fly home one month today! Our return is coming up fast now. Time flies...
