Hev and My's relationship (grammar anyone? help...) is largely based on eating out. It's what we do best. we like nothing better than eating good food we didn't have to cook off of plates (or bowls. or polystyrene trays) that we won't have to wash up/ throw away.

This being the case, we'd always gone out for dinner on Valentine's day, despite the fact it has to be the least romantic day of the year on which to dine out. Having to eat off of a bland 'play it safe, please everyone' set menu, sometimes in sittings if you please (yes sir, enjoy your meal, wolf it down by nine and get out, have a nice evening). All of which you're meant to be grateful for because 'you're lucky we could fit you in at all sir'.

So we this year we said nuts to that, and we stayed in and cooked. as a nod to Heather's Scottish heritage (her mother's Scottish, as his her name, of course) we cooked scottish cuisine. No, not deep-fried pizza. We made Tarragon Chicken with mushrooms in a cream and white wine sauce. No I've no idea why that's scottish either, it was in this Scottish cuisine book we have. The tarragon? Personally i think it was the sheer calory count, ah well.

For desert, Hev made M&M cakes. You know, little chocolate cakes with M&Ms on top.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

They were lovely.

Now all I have to do is run all that lot off. I've not been able to go to footie training for two weeks because I whacked my ribs in training, then whacked them again next time I played. I think thay're just bruised, but they don't half hurt, guv'nor. They've taken a while to heal but I should be able to train tomorrow.

Which is just as well, because there's still six M&M cakes left...
