It was my friend Mari's memorial service yesterday. it was very emotional day, but a good day. After the service we had an opportunity to hang ot with all our other friends who knew Mari, and swap Mari stories. There were many friends and many stories.
Mari's mother and sister was also there. It must have been a very difficult day for them, but I hope it helped to see how well loved Mari was by her friends here in England.
I made a short tribute to Mari at the service, which was an emotional and nerve-wracking experience (I was shaking like a leaf), but I'm glad I did it. I'd like to say thanks to Jim for giving me the oppurtunity to speak. Thanks Jim, our thoughts are with you.
In my tribute I chose to reflect on things that Mari had taught me. I've published what I said here: Ten things Mari taught me.
